Dart River Marama Necklace

$200.00
sold out

46mm High
46mm Wide
12mm Deep

This Marama taonga gets its name from its circular moon shape. Marama taonga is believed to symbolise the feminine energy, the cycle of life, balance and ties between whānau/tupuna. However, it’s my belief that the wearer should cast their own intentions on the taonga. All these treasures are a source of peace, mana and connection that uplift your mauri. They are also amazing sensory tools to feel or hold in tough times.

This piece has been carved out of authentic Aotearoa kōhatu from the dart river that’s yet to be identified. It is a beautiful light green (similar to Inanga pounamu) with stunning swirls of lighter and darker tones.

All taonga I carve comes with a 100% organic cotton bag to keep it safe when not wearing.
