Dart River Roimata Necklace
70mm High
24mm Wide
12mm Deep
Roimata (translating as tear) is a shape named after its teardrop appearance. It’s said to represent healing, connection to the land and self. However, it’s my belief that the wearer should cast their own intentions on the taonga. All these treasures are a source of peace, mana and connection that uplift your mauri. They are also amazing sensory tools to feel or hold in tough times.
This piece has been carved out of authentic Aotearoa kōhatu from the dart river that’s yet to be identified. It is a beautiful light green (similar to Inanga pounamu) with stunning swirls of lighter and darker tones.
All taonga I carve comes with a 100% organic cotton bag to keep it safe when not wearing.
*Note: This taonga has been bound smaller so might not fit bigger head sizes.
